Hi, I'm Peter Griebel.

I'm a Danish photographer and visual artist, based on the island of Langeland in the South Funen Archipelago in Denmark.

My journey with photography started in Bangkok, where I have lived for 10 years. I used photography as a way to investigate and better understand the culture and ways of the Thai people. I called Bangkok my home for almost a quarter of my life, and though I love the place with all my heart, it's charm will for me always be ambiguous. The work I did in Bangkok was mostly street photography and documentary style photography.

There have been a need for me to return to my roots. A return to the culture, climate and landscape that define who I am. This will also be visibel in my photographic work, that are taking a new direction. Hotel Havblik, a series shoot at an old abandoned beachfront hotel, is the first work that I have published since my return to Denmark, and it's also my first solo exhibition.
